Pastor Chico Hernandez and his wife, Evelyn,
have been missionaries for nearly 25 years in the
Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. Pastor Chico is the
overseer of Redeemer International Ministries’
160 churches in Nicaragua. A recipient of the
Purple Heart Medal, he completed two tours in
Viet Nam during the conflict. This complimentary
breakfast is for the purpose of raising funds
for the Hernandez ministry Centro Cristiano
Nuevo Pacto.
Greetings from Mexico...
This last month has been one of much travel and much fruit.
We started off in Xochenpich,
where we had our 2011 youth camp. There
was much good fellowship, worship and praise, the Word and
many games. It was 3 days of Holy Ghost celebration.
Dr. Chico ministered to the
youth, challenging them through the Word, focusing on the
theme: Say yes to God's Will. There were 17 young people
that surrendered to Jesus for the first time and others
reconciled back to the Lord. There were many tears,
laughter, hugs and repentance at the altars. Truly the Lord,
showed up. There were youth from Merida and Campeche. Our
hearts were touched as we observed the Lord transforming
lives. Pastors Armando and Mauri Leal; Patricio and Claudia
Luna and Carlos and Froney Hernandez were the Pastors
participating in this event.
Caitlin Geeslin ministered to
the adults and was a great blessing. The event ended with
great worship and much joy. The youth left changed by the
power of God.
The next event was in Merida
at C.C.N.P. and Alto Refugio where Caitlin preached both
services and Evelyn interpreted for her. The final 2 days
were spent in 2 services in Campeche where youth and adults
were challenged to learn to live the abundant life in
Christ.
There is good follow up for
those youth who were saved and they are being discipled in
their respective churches. Thanks for all of your prayers.
It is because there is much prayer and intercession that we
have seen many saved here in Mexico.
We invite teams to come to
Merida, Mexico and help us. Let the Lord use you and your
gifting. Many are at the valley of decision.
